Temelsan TAS deburring and weld finishing machines rely on high-precision vitrified corundum and ceramic-bonded grinding wheels to remove weld flash, burrs, and upset ridges after flash butt welding. Achieving a smooth, uniform seam flush with the blade back and side surfaces is critical to prevent blade breakage inside bandsaw guides and eliminate stress concentrations during high-speed tensioning. Our replacement grinding wheels are engineered specifically for Temelsan TAS 1001 SL, TAS 1001 RT, TAS 1001 HP, and TAS 3-in-1 deburring stations.

Each grinding wheel in this collection is manufactured to tight dimensional and balancing tolerances to eliminate spindle vibration and prevent thermal scorching on delicate tooth tips and heat-affected zones (HAZ). We supply straight cup wheels, dish wheels, and flat grinding wheels in tailored grit sizes designed for bi-metal, carbon steel, and tungsten carbide-tipped (TCT) bandsaws:

Maintenance Recommendations & USA Stock

Grinding wheels should be regularly dressed to prevent metal loading and excessive heat generation, which can compromise the annealing structure of the weld. Spindle bearings should be inspected for axial play and lubricated according to Temelsan service schedules. All grinding wheels, wheel mounts, and spindle assemblies are stocked at our Florida distribution center for immediate same-day dispatch across North America.
